Any day now, this glorious burst of colour will turn white.  Let's just hope the crows at the wall keep the wildlings at bay.  For winter's coming!

This is my favourite part of Autumn, when all the leaves change colour.  It's ironic that leaves are most vibrant and beautiful and colourful at the end of their lives, just before they die. Enjoy the leaf rain now people.  Anytime now all the leaves will be gone and we will be left with scrawny branches.

That feeling when you awake on a bank holiday Monday, look outside the window, and the world outside is all bokeh'd up.

.. when you wake up hungry and run to the fridge.

Finally, the long winding weekend is upon us.  Enjoy folks.

In my experience, only about 20-50% of house party food actually gets consumed even when it seems as if there hadn't been enough food.

Even the strongest trees lean to the power of the elements.

The city of London has a mice infestation ‘ problem ’.  It doesn’t matter where you live, or how clean your home is, you have seen, or will see one of these little highly evasive rodents dash across your floor.  It’s inevitable. This mouse I spotted on a London Underground platform got me thinking; mice have always been a part of this city since before Roman times, and millennia before that.  In probable fact, they arrived here first.  Does it then follow that we have taken over their habitat? Is this city hence suffering from a human infestation?

It has been a mild winter so far in northern Europe.  As the Winter Olympics kick off in Russia, word is we are gearing up for a major blast of cold weather.  Honestly, I'm actually looking forward to some snow, should we be so lucky.
